This was such a special session. Roark’s mom and I grew up together, she was my brother’s best friend so often took on the role of a big sister to me. Coming full circle and shooting her oldest son for his senior session was amazing. Roark has such a sweet soul; just one of those people who’s light draws you in and makes you want to be their best friend. We had so much fun talking about life and school and college plans and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for him. Thank you for the most magical session, Roark, you are the sweetest!

Jonah was so fun to shoot with, up for anything and just a natural in front of the camera. He plans to become a firefighter after highschool so wishing him all the best!

The fall colors are here! This is such a beautiful time in the PNW. 🍁

These guys make my job so easy! Jack keeps us all happy with his sweet little expressions and infectious laugh.

When your best friend of 40 years flies into town with her daughter for some college visits and asks if you can squeeze in a senior session, it’s an immediate yes. This session was just perfection. I loved shooting with Sophia, not just because of how sentimental it was for her mom and I but just because gah, look at her! She was a natural in front of the camera and I loved the outfits she picked. We also lucked out with the most perfect weather; Sophia you are a dream. I’m so proud of you and hoping against hope that you head this way for college!

It’s been a busy couple of weeks with lots of lovely sessions AND it’s finally fall! My favorite time of the year.

A few things I’m loving lately:
✧ Watching my oldest daughter dance at her high school football games
✧ Pumpkin spice chais
✧ Pumpkin scented candles
✧ We’re in the middle of a belated spring cleaning & it feels so good to purge & reorganize
✧ The new seasons of all the fun TV shows
✧ The dreamy golden light we’ve been having - like this recent maternity session
✧ My best friend has been in town for college visits with her daughter (& we got to sneak in her senior pics yesterday, so look for those soon

A very happy senior Sunday to Ben! His mom is one of my very best friends and at just 3 months old he was the youngest guest at my wedding. It’s crazy now to be shooting his senior pictures. He’s grown into such an intelligent, kind, curious soul and I’m so proud of him. I can’t wait to see where life takes him next!

I’m so excited that my first session ever in the dahlia fields was with little Miss Dahlia and her family. I’ve been there before but never to photograph and now I am hooked. This is such a gorgeous spot and the light was perfect, just a beautiful evening. A huge thank you to @swanislanddahlias for their amazing hospitality.

Such a fun evening shooting with Lincoln. I love these urban vibes we found for him. His aviator jacket is a wonderful nod to his dreams of being a pilot someday soon.

I’ve been shooting Owen and his family since he was in elementary school and it was so bittersweet to photograph his senior pictures. I’m so impressed by the smart, kind young man. He’s a gem and I can’t wait to see where life takes him. He has big dreams and I know he will achieve them. I hope you have the best senior year!
